About me
I founded Paka Care after more than 10 years of experience working in health and social care, supported by relevant qualifications and extensive hands-on practice. Throughout my career, I noticed that many people occasionally need extra support at home, yet often do not know where to turn or feel unsure about asking for help. I am originally from Congo, and the name Paka holds deep personal meaning for me. It comes from my father’s name, Mampaka, who sadly passed away at the young age of 47. Naming this service after him is my way of honouring his life, his strength, and the values of care, responsibility, and community that he passed on to me. Paka Care exists for individuals who need minimal, appropriate support to continue living independently. The aim is not to take over, but to provide just enough assistance to maintain confidence, safety, and independence at home. By connecting people with local, trusted support workers, I hope to offer a service that is respectful, reliable, and truly person-centred.
